Hub

A hub is a small network device, which is used to connected computers to communicate. The computers can connect in a peer-to-peer fashion by using the Hub. Normally the Hub contains multiple ports. From each node it accepts and repeats the signals. A hub normally contains multiple ports for devices and one port that connect to a network’s backbone. Hubs operates at layer 1(Physical layer) in OSI model. Usually the Hubs are not aware of their source or destination and it can’t able to read any of the data passing through them. It simply receives and packets to all connected device.
